Jane Mary Curran currently serves in the ministries of Givens Estates, a United Methodist retirement community in Asheville, North Carolina. She provides pastoral care to residents and teaches classes on a wide variety of topics, including spiritual formation, scriptual storytelling, spiritual journaling, as well as classes on opera and other topics in music.

Until July 2007 she was the chaplain supervisor at CarePartners Mountain Area Hospice in Asheville. She is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and a certified spiritual director. She also holds an academic doctorate in piano performance and literature from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Divinity from Emory University.
 
Jane is walking a journey toward a bone marrow transplant due to three diseases of the bone marrow.
